The District Oratorical Contest will be held on Sat., April 30th, 2016 at All Saints Lutheran Church at 15625 E. Iliff Ave., Aurora, CO 80013 (off I-225 and Iliff about 5 min. from I-225) from 1:00 – 3:30 PM.
The District winner will compete at the Optimist Regional Contest at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri via live streaming on June 23, 2016 for an additional $5,000 scholarship. (9 regions) The District will provide transportation and lodging for the District Winner and one parent/guardian to go to Saint Louis.
Each Regional Winner will compete in the World Championship Contest for a chance to win a first, second, and third place scholarship of $15,000, $10,000, or $5,000 respectively. This World Championship Contest will be held on June 24, 2016 at Saint Louis University via online streaming.
Contestants may use the Scholarships at any university in the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean. The winner of the World Championship will receive a $22,500 in scholarships, altogether! The World Championship 2nd Place winner will receive $17,500 and 3rd Place winner will receive $12,500 in scholarships! What a wonderful opportunity for our youth in the OI competition!
